Conflict Minerals
Conflict Minerals
Tin, tungsten, tantalum and gold are minerals classified as “conflict minerals”.
These minerals are required to make objects that we all use on a daily basis: mobile phones, tablets, cars, aeroplanes, light bulbs, and many other items included in the category of electrical and electronic equipment. Some militias and rebel groups finance themselves by selling these minerals.

The goal of Electra is to promote responsible practices by companies sourcing tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold from high-risk areas affected by armed conflict, in order to reduce their financing from the proceeds of local mineral exploitation.
At Electra, we perform a careful supply chain analysis, ensuring the certified origin of the minerals used.
